The Trailhead for the Cabins at Sandy Mush Bald is located at 19001 NC-209 Hot Springs, NC 28743
Directions From Asheville, NC:
“The Express Way”– Take I-40 west from Asheville towards Knoxville and take exit 24 Take Highway 209 north, toward Hot Springs for approximately 8 miles until you reach Ferguson’s Gas Station. Turn right here to stay on Highway 209 north for another 5.5 miles until you see a blue and white striped mailbox and a small Hipcamp sign at our gravel parking lot located on the right side of the road.
“The Scenic Route”– Take Patton Ave. west from Asheville. Turn on New Leicester Hwy (NC-63) and go west until it ends and then take a on Highway 209 south. You’ll pass through the tiny hamlets of Trust and Luck on your way to the base of our Mountain. Follow Highway 209 south until you reach our address at 19001 Hwy. 209 where you’ll see a blue and white striped mailbox and small Hipcamp sign with our gravel parking lot located across the road on the left.
*NOTE that even though our address is classified as Hot Springs, we are in fact 30 minutes South of Hot Springs on Highway 209.
